I seriously have the best friends I could ever ask for. I've been feeling slightly blue recently, and it felt like I hadn't really seen or talked to my closest friends in a while. That changed today when a get-together did just that--got us together. We sat and talked for hours and hours, and it felt so good to just be with God-fearing people who love me for who I am. I feel so blessed to have them in my life.
A friend loveth at all times, and a brother is born for adversity.
~Proverbs 17:17 (KJV)
I love my friends, and I am so happy that they love me in return. Years ago, I had friends that I thought would be my friends forever; but life happens and things change. A lot of those friends ended up drifting away even if they didn't mean to. Even though it's a bit sad to lose friends (particularly good ones), it really helps a person to discover who his/her true friends are. Sometimes you need to lose something good to find something better. That's what happened with me, and I am SO glad that it did! I hope that my friends and I make it a point to see each other as much as possible. My friends are one of the best blessings I have received; they are like my extended family. They are wonderful, wonderful people and I pray that they remain in my life for as long as possible.
Lord, thank You SO MUCH for this day. You must have known that I really needed it. Lord, please watch over my family, friends, and pets; please bless them and keep them safe, strong, happy, and healthy. Please watch over the defenders of Your name and this country, as well as those who need defending. Please cleanse me of my sins and continue to guide me down Your path, Lord. I ask that You please continue to show me what I need to do in life, and how I should improve. Lord, I shall follow You and only You for ever and ever. I love You, Lord, with all my heart and soul and I always will. In Jesus' name, Amen.
Love and God Bless,
M.C.
