Storms have always thrilled me. I love the excitement they elicit, even if, on rare occasions when they were exceptionally severe, they have scared me. As I've mentioned before, sometimes my body doesn't listen to my mind, but for the most part, I enjoy the feeling I get during a storm. In my opinion, storms are just a small demonstration of God's power, but magnificent nonetheless.
There is none like unto the God of Jeshurun, who rideth upon the heaven in thy help, and in his excellency on the sky.
~Deuteronomy 33:26 (KJV)
Yes, it's true--there IS none like God. God is unique and supreme. He created everything and only He determines the fate of the world. He makes the weather, He traces the path of every lightning bolt, He sounds ever roll of thunder... He knows every cloud, every raindrop, every snowflake by heart. God can do anything because His power is infinite. I mean, just think about it: the weather isn't the same around the world, in fact, it's different just about everywhere. Just today, I was on the phone with a friend of mine who lives less than a mile away. It was clear at my house but pouring cats and dogs at hers. It makes my brain hurt just imagining how God can make the weather so diverse while still controlling other forces, answering prayers, planning events, guiding lives, bringing some people into being and taking others home all simultaneously. It's beyond incredible. I can't imagine just having to take care of one type of weather let alone all of the weather AND everything else! God is amazing.
Lord, thank You for this day. Thank You for my family, friends, and pets; I ask that You please watch over them all, bless them, and please keep them safe and strong, happy and healthy. Please watch over and bless those who defend Your name and this country as well as their families; please bless them with strength and courage and serenity in times of separation and/or loss, and may they be reunited under the best of circumstances. Please watch over those who are in the greatest need of Your blessings and may they be blessed with good Christian family members and friends. Lord, I love You with all of my heart and soul, and I always will. Lord, please keep me safe, cleanse me of my sins, and continue to guide me down Your path. I will always follow You, Lord, and whatever You have planned for me, I will gladly and eagerly do. You are my one and only Savior, and I will follow You forever. Thank You for all that I have and all that I am. Please come into my heart, Lord, and remain there forever to guide me in all that I do so that I may honor You. In Jesus' name, Amen.
Love and God Bless,
M.C.
