Day 87: God's Love

This morning was so amazing. I was up late last night because I just wasn't that tired. I figured that I'd end up sleeping later than I wanted to this morning, but much to my surprise, I was up at 6AM without the help of an alarm. Instead of just going back to bed, something was telling me to go watch television, so I did. I watched Shepherd's Chapel with Dennis Murray. He was answering letters, but it was really interesting and informative. Afterward, I watched Joyce Meyer. God truly answers prayers because on so many occasions I've asked for guidance or strength and I received it. Today Joyce was talking about needing to love yourself before you can be happy--you can't expect other people to keep you happy because it's not their responsibility. It sounds a little harsh in summary, but it is so true. You have to see yourself as the person God made you to be and remember that God loves you because He can't help it! How awesome is that??? She said to look in the mirror and say, "God loves ME!" Keep saying it. Keep reminding yourself of it. It may be difficult not to compare yourself to others around you, but you need to realize that you are no longer where you were and you are on your way to becoming who you're supposed to be through Jesus Christ.

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

~John 3:16 (KJV)

God's love for His children is so extensive, He gave up His one and only son, Jesus Christ, so that we could have eternal life with both Father and Son in Heaven. That is, without any doubt in my mind, THE ultimate sacrifice and display of love ever.AND DON'T EVER FORGET THAT!!! In times of trouble, just remember two things: one, that God made you because He wanted someone just like you, and two, God loves you because He can't help but to love you! God is truly amazing and spectacular!

Lord, I cannot thank You enough for this day. It was spectacular! Thank You for Arnold and Dennis Murray and Joyce Meyer, and I ask that You please bless them and continue to give them the strength and the words to spread Your amazing message. Thank You for my family, friends, and pets; I ask that You please watch over them, bless them, and keep them safe, strong, happy, and healthy. Lord, please watch over those who serve You and this country, and please bless them and bring them home safe. Please watch over those who cannot defend and/or take care of themselves; I ask that You please bless them with good Christian family members and/or friends whom You can work through to bring the former closer to You. Lord, thank You for blessing me with everything I need when You know I need it, and I humbly ask that You please continue to do so. Please cleanse me of my sins and continue to guide me down Your path of righteousness. Please help me to become the person I am meant to be through You, Lord. Thank You for who I am and what I have. Lord, I love You so much, I cannot explain it--it goes far beyond anything I could ever hope to explain in words. I love You, Lord, with all of my heart and soul and being and my love for You increases every day. And Lord, I will follow You every single day. You are my one and only Lord and Savior, and I will be Yours forever and ever. In Jesus' precious name, Amen.

Love and God Bless,
M.C.
