Day 77: Peace

Today was brimming with peace and contentment for me. Oh, Lord, thank You! It felt absolutely wonderful! I spent time with family and I heard from a few friends... simply wonderful. I must say, it takes times of trouble/distress to really appreciate the good times.

These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.
~John 16:33 (KJV)

I've said it before, and I'll say it again: the world is messed up. We can work forever to try to improve it, and yes, with a LOT of effort and aid from God, we can make it better, but only God can make it perfect. But these verses can bring light to even the darkest of times. Sure, the world is troubled, but we shouldn't be unhappy because Jesus overcame the world--he died on the cross but rose again three days later with eternal life. Any who live in Christ will never have to fear the world or be dismayed by it because Jesus gives everlasting life to those who walk with him. With God's son, you never have to fear anything.

Lord, thank You so much for this day. You have blessed me beyond comprehension. Thank You for my family, friends, and pets; please watch over them, bless them, and keep them safe, strong, happy, and healthy. Please watch over those who defend Your name and this country; please bless them with courage and strength, and please bring them home safe. Please watch over their families and bless them with peace and serenity in times of separation/loss. Please watch over those who are in greatest need of Your miraculous guidance. May we be ever mindful of those who are less fortunate, and may we help them when we are able to. Please cleanse me of my sins, and please continue to guide me down Your path of righteousness. Please continue to bless me as You always have. I ask that You please continue to protect my family, friends, pets and myself from evil; please lead us from anything that does not please You. Lord, I love You with all my heart and soul, and I promise that I will love You forever and always, no matter what! You are and shall always be my one and only Lord and Savior. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Love and God Bless,
M.C.
